JFC Naples Commander visits Serbia and NATO MLO Belgrade

BELGRADE - Commander of JFC Naples, U.S. Navy Admiral James Foggo, paid an official visit to Serbia to meet with Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin and Chief of Defence, General Ljubisa Dikovic.

During the meetings, the Commander of JFC Naples said he sees good connectivity and collaboration between NATO and the Serbian Armed Forces. "I look forward to developing key relationships that will lead to future success,” Admiral Foggo said during his first visit as the Commander of JFC Naples to Serbia.

The Admiral also visited the NATO MLO Belgrade where he conferred with its Chief, Brigadier General Cesare Marinelli, on the NATO-Serbia partnership cooperation and future prospect.

During his stay in the Office, Admiral Foggo gave interviews for several Serbian outlets, highlighting a recent noncommissioned officer training event with Serbian Armed Forces from the 63rd Parachute Battalion and troops from JFC Naples. "I think there’s a lot to be positive of in the relationship that we’ve established with one another as professional soldiers,” Foggo said.

After Belgrade, Admiral Foggo travelled to Kosovo to visit troops and key sites that are part of NATO’s KFOR mission.
