BELGRADE - At a short ceremony NATO Trust Fund Project Manager, David Towndrow, handed over the keys to a new emergency fire vehicle to TRZ Kragujevac General Manager, Lieutenant Colonel Dušan Kovarbašić.

The 155,000 € vehicle is part of a package of measures to update and improve the Government owned ammunition refurbishment and demilitarization site in Serbia.

In addition to the fire fighting vehicle, the NATO Support and Procurement Agency delivered a forklift truck and a modern emergency ambulance and will continue to support the Ministry of Defense and TRZ Kragujevac to increase its technical capacity over the coming months.

The 2-year NATO Trust Fund project opened in October 2016 and aims to destroy up to 2,000 tonnes of surplus ammunition.
