Admiral Burke visits NATO MLO Belgrade

BELGRADE - In his first visit to the Western Balkans, after visiting KFOR in Pristina and NATO HQ Sarajevo, JFC Naples Commander Admiral Robert Burke met with representatives of NATO MLO Belgrade. 

Admiral Robert P. Burke was welcomed to NATO MLO Belgrade by Brigadier General Tommaso Vitale, Chief of NATO MLO Belgrade. After an update on the current security situation, he met with MLO staff, and spent some time talking to them about the overall situation in the country and the scope of his visit.
Peaceful and safe environment is a prerequisite for prosperity

NATO-Serbia partnership was one of the topics, and Admiral Burke complimented the dedication of the MLO to promoting this cooperation and partnership.

“We always look to how to continue to strengthen our partnership, our well-established cooperation through NATO’s ongoing support to military reforms and capability building, and with joint efforts to ensure a peaceful and safe environment for all, which is a prerequisite for prosperity.”
