BAGHDAD – Dean of the Military College, Major General Waleed Helan, received a team from NATO Mission Iraq (NMI), headed by Brigadier General Hasim Bildis, Head of Professional Security Education Division with NMI, on Wednesday Apr. 21, 2021.
Sharing knowledge is just one of the steps towards building greater learning institutions
During the meeting Major General Helan and Brigadier General Hasim discussed opportunities for future cooperation between the Military College and NATO Mission Iraq. One of the crucial goals for the Military College is transferring of experience from NATO institutions and military colleges to Iraqi educational and training institutions.

The Dean of the Military College presented the NMI team a detailed summary of the college curriculum and current training courses provided to students, which was highly praised by Brigadier General Bildis and the rest of the NMI team.
At the end of the visit, Brigadier General Bildis, on behalf of NMI, emphasised the important role of the Military College and the educational process inside the Iraqi Armed Forces. He stated, “sharing knowledge is just one of the steps towards building greater learning institutions, we are here to make those steps together with our Iraqi colleagues.”
