Jeannette Seppen is a Dutch diplomat and is currently the Senior Civilian with the NATO Mission Iraq (NMI), based in Baghdad. She has served as Ambassador of the Netherlands in Pakistan and Iraq and as Head of Mission/Office in Burundi and Kosovo. Other postings include Afghanistan (ISAF Regional Command North and Task Force Uruzgan), Belgium (Netherlands Permanent Representation to the EU), Israel/Palestinian Territories (Office of the EUSR for the Middle-East Peace Process, EUPOL COPPS and Netherlands Representative Office to the PA) and Rwanda (Netherlands Embassy). Jeannette is a graduate in Political Science from State University Leyden in the Netherlands. She speaks several European languages, desperately wants to learn Arabic (but to no avail) and is an avid traveller and reader and loves cinema.
