Brigadier General Yaldiz was born in 1963 in the Çerkeş district of the Çankırı province. He graduated from the Army College with the rank of the Second Lieutenant in 1985, and from Signal Corps School in 1986. He served as the Signaling Platoon and Company Commander at various units of Army between the years of 1986 and 1996.
Having graduated from the Army War College in 1998, as staff officer, he served as: Chief of Logistics Branch in the 9th Infentary Division, Chief of Planning/Concept Branch in the South Centre Signaling Division (Larissa/Greece), Battalion Commander and the Chief of Staff in the 39th Mechanized Infantry Brigade Command, Chief of Staff and Deputy Brigade Commander in the 12th Mechanized Infantry Brigade Command, Head of Asia Branch in General Plans and Policies Division of Turkish General Staff Command between the years of 2010 and 2014.
While serving in the aforementioned posts, he also served as the senior Turkish Liaison Officer in USA CENTCOM for 7 months in 2007 and he was a participant in National Defense College of People’s Republic of China for one year between 2009 and 2010.
Later, he served in the following positions: Chief of the Logistics Service Department of the Army between 2014 and 2015, Commander of the Tactical Electronic Warfare Brigade Command of the Army between of 2015 and 2016, Commander of the Communications-Electronics And Information Systems School and Training Center between 2016 and 2017.
Having been assigned as the Chief of Project Development and Management Department of Turkish General Staff on August, 2017, Brigadier General YALDIZ is married with Mrs. Serap YALDIZ with two children. He is fluent in English.
