Persons of Confidence Training at JFC Naples A Milestone Toward a Healthier Work Environment

From 5 to 9 May 2025, JFC Naples hosted its first Persons of Confidence training course, conducted by Ms. Catherine De Bruyne of StatusFlow, a recognized expert in workplace culture and psychological safety. The training brought together selected military and civilian personnel, who volunteered to attend a dynamic and interactive program and gain the skills required to act as the focal points/first responders for colleagues who wish to raise concerns about inappropriate behavior in confidence.

This initiative marks a significant milestone in the implementation of the JFC Naples Directive 048-08, A Healthy Work Environment – Zero Tolerance of Harassment, Bullying and Discrimination, which reflects NATO’s Code of Conduct and advocates a shift from reactive prevention to proactive community engagement and empowerment.

All participants successfully completed the course and are now certified to serve as trusted, confidential resources within the Command. The event reinforces JFC Naples’ firm commitment to cultivating a workplace where inappropriate behavior has no place, and the well-being of every member of the international community is safeguarded.

This training is part of a broader cultural transformation promoted by JFCNP Leadership, as driven by the vision of ACOS J1 and the Civilian Human Resources Branch, who continues to lead from the front in ensuring that JFC Naples remains an inclusive, respectful, and mission-ready environment.
