The team, composed by J9 members, Security & Emergency Services Branch (SES) Head and two IMPs Staff Officers, trained a Qatar Military Police Company on “the proper handling of captured persons - CPers”, in accordance with the related NATO Directives and the associated International Conventions. 

 The JFC Naples Mobile Training Team presented the overall procedures of handling of CPers during NATO operations through lectures and workshops. At the end of the training session, the Qatar MP was able to foster treatment and handling of captured persons guidance for better planning and cooperation among Troop Contributing Nations and explain Key actors, roles and responsibilities in NATO Detention Operations and CPers Handling Process. 

The MTT Team attaches great importance to the status and role of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in promoting international security and peace, and the MTT further demonstrated NATO’s intent to increase cooperation with Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI) countries.
