JFC conducts PA training at Qatar Joint Warfare Training Center

DOHA, Qatar, Nov 8 - Allied Joint Force Command (JFC) Naples conducted a Public Affairs Mobile Training session in Doha, Qatar, from Nov. 4-7, 2025. 

Following a successful Public Affairs training delivered by JFC Naples media specialists in 2023, this follow-up session was held at the Qatar Joint Warfare Training Center (JWTC).

The training focused on the evolving media landscape and the increasing importance of digital media. Participants were introduced to the principles of preparing and delivering statements and interviews, including specific guidance on appearing in front of cameras. The program also covered the complexities of press conferences and crisis management, emphasising psychological principles relevant to effective communication.

Twenty officers, non-commissioned officers, and civilian employees from various branches of the Qatar Armed Forces and the Qatar Ministry of Defense attended the course to gain a broader understanding of NATO’s approach to promoting and facilitating military operations through media and public affairs.
Allied Joint Force Command Naples recently completed a successful Public Affairs Mobile Training at the Qatar Joint Warfare Training Centre (JWTC) from November 4-7, 2024. This session, following a similar training held in 2023, was led by JFC Naples media specialists, empowering Qatar’s military personnel with advanced public affairs skills. Such engagements underscore NATO's commitment to strengthening partnerships through knowledge sharing and mutual support.

"This training was an excellent opportunity to understand the daily operations of NATO’s Public Affairs,” said 1st Lieutenant Abdulaziz Al-Qubaisi, a modeling and simulation expert with the JWTC. “In particular the current examples of NATO’s efforts to promote media-wise its military activities the Naples’ trainer provided, were very beneficial and worth to be used as a blueprint for own approaches."

Course participants consistently expressed appreciation for the support and expertise provided by NATO trainers, noting "we highly appreciate the support of NATO trainers who shared their broad knowledge, best practices of communication and comprehensive real-life experiences.” 

The training was supported by the excellent facilities at the JWTC in Doha.

Qatar is a key NATO partner. Its long-term efforts will pay off in a few days tremendously, when, according to the Istanbul Cooperative Initiative ICI, the Qatar Air Force Squadron 101 will gets certified as the first non-NATO unit ever belonging to an ICI nation as fully NATO standard interoperable.

The JFC Naples Public Affairs team stands by for any future support the Qatar Armed Forces to intensify the relationship between the entities.
