JFC Naples Conducts Basic Life Support Defibrillation Training

Naples, Italy – Basic Life Support Defibrillation (BLS-D) and Upper Airway Obstruction training was provided to NATO military and civilian personnel at Allied Joint Force Command Naples (JFC Naples) by the Italian Red Cross instructors, June 8 and 22, 2023.

This training covered a myriad of first aide subjects such as: cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers, the use of the defibrillator in case of cardiac arrest, and basic management of emergency situations.

At the end of the training, Colonel Vincenzo Romano, Base Support Group Commander, expressed to the Italian Red Cross instructors his warm and heartfelt thanks, hoping that the collaboration between JFC Naples and the Military Corp of the Italian Red Cross will continue in future.

The aim of this initiative is to make one of the region’s most important command centers, manned by hundreds of personnel, a safer place. This training also highlights the outstanding relationships between JFC Naples and the external community, the institutional departments and the voluntary humanitarian associations like the Red Cross.
