JFC Naples Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Vasco Angelotti, Italian Army, presided the ceremony in the presence of representatives of JFC Naples and the Italian Red Cross of Caserta.
Mrs. Teresa Natale, Chairwoman of the Italian Red Cross of Caserta, attended the event.
A donation contract was signed by Lieutenant General Angelotti and Mrs, Natale for the formalization of the act.
The signature of today’s donation contract was possible thanks to the kind approval of our JFC Naples Commander, Admiral Stuart Munsch, who has delegated me to sign the contract on his behalf

“The donation of the two JFC Naples non-military vehicles to the Red Cross was a small gesture but one that symbolized JFC Naples’ affinity for the Red Cross and support for humanitarian involvements especially in these critical historical times; in fact, there are no words to appreciate the hard work of the Red Cross volunteers who are trying to relieve the lives of the suffering Ukraine populations, even putting their
lives at risk” Angelotti concluded .
A FORD Transit Tourneo and an IVECO Daiy 50 C13 were the two vehicles belonging to the JFC Naples Blue Fleet as reported from the “Military Registration and Certificate of Title of Motor Vehicle”. These vehicles had exceeded their expected service life in the motor pool and they were deemed to have no residual value for NATO; however, they are still serviceable and can be used for humanitarian purposes.
The Italian Red Cross of Caserta had identified these vehicles as usable for social and health-related activities that this government and no-profit organization performs to benefit the community.

“As a private citizen and in my capacity as chairwoman of the Caserta Red Cross Committee and on behalf of all its staff” said Natale “I’d like to sincerely thank you for your precious gift which testifies of your uncommon goodness of heart and of your willingness to truly contribute to helping the local community”.“I take this occasion to also thank all those who have made this event possible” she concluded.
The donation of the two JFC Naples non-military vehicles to the Red Cross association represents the command’s contribution and the emotional participation to support any kind of worldwide humanitarian aids.
This community relations event is a further demonstration of the outstanding relationship that JFC Naples has with the external community, the institutional departments and voluntary humanitarian associations like the Red Cross.
Today’s donation ceremony had mirrored the 2016’s ceremony when, on the occasion of the earthquake disaster in Abruzzo Region, Italy, JFC Naples community donated to the Red Cross any kind of basic necessities.
