Vranje, the Republic of Serbia – Joint Force Command Naples (JFCNP) J9 Military Partnership Branch (MPB) had the distinct pleasure to meet a delegation of the Serbian Armed Forces for an Advisory Visit on 11-13 May 2021.

A team from JFC Naples J9 MPB, along with representatives from the Land Command Izmir G9, and NATO MLO Belgrade conducted an Operational Capabilities Concept Evaluation and Feedback (OCC E&F) Advisory Visit (AV) to discuss all preparatory activities for the upcoming Self Evaluation Level 1 and NATO Evaluation Level 2 (NEL-2) of the Serbian Armed Forces.

All five declared units are part of the 3^rd Serbian Army Brigade and will be evaluated during an exercise in October this year.

The AV meet all objectives and both delegation emphasized good cooperation as contributing factors to enhancing the interoperability an capability of the Serbian Armed Forces. Notably the Joint NATO team was well received by the Serbian Armed Forces delegation. Through the rigorous evaluation and feedback reports, the OCC E&F is assisting declared Serbian Armed Forces units to achieve full interoperability and capability in-line with NATO standards. Once fully interoperable declared units can be made available for peacekeeping or crisis management operations.

The Republic of Serbia is valued contributor to the United Nations (UN)-led operations. Many of the declared units of the Republic of Serbia that are certified through OCC E&F programme have been deployed in support of the UN – led operations, where they can gain further experience of working with other nations and help to build peace and stability across the Globe.
