AMMAN, Jordan – The Allied Joint Force Command Naples Joint Mobile Training Team (JMTT) engaged with the Jordan Armed Forces as part of NATO Partnership For Peace (PfP) initiative, from November 26 – 28, 2019.
The team of two officers trained 10 Jordanian Armed Forces service members on the basics of cyber security, cyber threats and NATO operations in the cyberspace domain.
During the week, the JFC Naples JMTT conducted classroom training to foster the Jordanian Armed Forces members with a unified multi-national perspective of NATO and partner nations.
“It was my first trip to Amman. I was impressed by knowledge and professionalism shown by the students and staff, and I look forward to returning again.” said Lieutenant Commander Hendrix.
“It is very clear that the Jordanian Armed Forces are serious about information systems technology and I’m glad that our JMTT added to the overall experience and helped fortify the strong relationship between Jordanian Armed Forces and NATO.”
The purpose of the JMTT is to share the basic concepts of cyber security, discuss the local cyberspace threat environment and provide a broad overview of how NATO is developing its cyberspace capabilities and how it is preparing and evolving to operate within the newly-established cyberspace domain.
