JFC NAPLES J-3 OPERATIONS SPECIALIST BRANCH TEAM CONDUCTS A CIED MOBILE TRAINING TEAM SERIAL IN SERBIA

PROKUPLJE, Serbia - The Allied Joint Force Command Naples Counter Improvised Explosive Device Mobile Training Team (CIED MTT) engaged with the Serbian (SRB) Armed Forces as part of their mission, Nov 19-21, 2019.

The team of two officers and one non-commissioned officer (NCO) trained 18 SRB Armed Forces staff on the theory of CIED principles as well as tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) to enhance interoperability in a joint, multi-disciplinary environment.

“The training is designed to further develop their domestic national capability and to foster a cooperative defence mentality among partner nations,” said Canadian Navy Commander Chad Naefken, the JFC Naples Section Head for CIED. “Our ability to work together with a common lexicon is critical to us building enduring success together as the threat environment increases in complexity.”

During the trip, the JFC Naples team conducted three days of classroom training with a broad and diverse audience with the aim of providing the MTT attendees with a detailed but manageable perspective of NATO and partner nations and how they can operate together.
