Tunisian Armed Forces representatives visit JFC Naples

Allied Joint Force Command Naples hosted a delegation from the Tunisian Armed Forces.

NAPLES, Italy - Allied Joint Force Command Naples hosted a delegation from the Tunisian Armed Forces, November 28, 2018.

Led by the head of the J9 Military Partnership Branch, French Army Colonel Franck Faubladier,  the meeting was one of two Expert Staff Meetings held annually with this important NATO Partner Country, a member of the Mediterranean Dialogue framework since 1994.

This meeting aimed to enhance the ongoing Military Cooperation between NATO and Tunisia as well as planning out to 2020 and beyond. To this end the meeting also saw the presence of the NATO Headquarters International Military Staff, the Partnership Division SHAPE, NATO Special Operations Headquarters Mons, and NATO School Oberammergau.

Tunisia is a very active Partnership nation and belongs to all the key NATO initiatives open to them to include Defence Capacity Building. This level of participation requires detailed planning and regular engagement. The Tunisian delegation is keenly aware of the scale of support and training given by JFC Naples, especially in the form of Mobile Training Teams formed out of the Headquarters Divisions and resulting in the training of hundreds of Tunisian military yearly.
