NAPLES, Italy – The NATO Secretary General visited Allied Joint Force Command Naples today to meet with Naples leadership to discuss various JFC Naples and NATO objectives.

Welcomed by Admiral James Foggo, commander of JFC Naples, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Foggo met to discuss three main topics: the NATO Strategic Direction South Hub, the NATO Mission in Iraq and NATO’s role in the Balkans.

JFC Naples is in the lead for these three activities and the Secretary General was given a comprehensive briefing on all three areas.

The visit comes at an appropriate time as JFC Naples just concluded the command post portion of Exercise Trident Juncture, the certifying exercise to head NATO Response Force 2019. The Secretary General was deeply impressed with how JFC Naples conducted and completed the exercise with its commitment and professionalism.
