NAPLES, Italy - Allied Joint Force Command Naples hosted a delegation from the Serbian Ministry of Defence, Dec. 6.

Led by Assistant Chief of Staff J9, German Army Brigadier General Reinhard Kloss, and the head of the J9 Military Partnership Branch, French Army Colonel Franck Faubladier, the meeting was the annually held Expert Staff Meeting with this important NATO Partner Country, a member of the Partnership for Peace framework since 2006. The Serbian delegation was headed by Lieutenant Colonel Dusan Mrdak and Ms Tanja Ristic.

This meeting aimed to enhance the ongoing Military Cooperation between NATO and Serbia as well as planning out to 2020 and beyond.

Serbia is a very active Partnership nation and belongs to all the key NATO initiatives open to them to include the PfP Planning and Review Process, the Individual Partnership Action Plan, the Interoperability Platform and the Operational Capability Concept Evaluation & Feedback program. This level of participation requires detailed planning and regular engagement. The Serbian delegation is keenly aware of the scale of support and training given by JFC Naples, especially in the form of Mobile Training Teams formed out of the Headquarters Divisions and resulting in the training of hundreds of Serbian military yearly.
