RANJE, Serbia – A NATO Operational Capability Concept Evaluation and Feedback (OCC E&F) Evaluation Team conducted an evaluation of a Military General Support Engineer Company from the Serbian Armed Forces, Oct. 16 to 20, 2017.
Allied Joint Force Command Naples organized and led the event with a team of 30 evaluators. The group also featured experts from JFC Brunssum, Allied Land Command and Serbia. According to event organizers, the multi-national headquarters approarch demonstrated the spirit of OCC E&F’s interoperability and collaboration ideals.
The evaluation was conducted utilizing OCC E&F methodology in order to assess the engineer company’s interoperability readiness and potential contribution to future multinational operations according to national ambitions.
According to the team from JFC Naples, the Serbian engineer company was well organized, prepared and demonstrated its mission, while displaying a high level of engineering readiness, unit motivation and utmost professionalism.
Officials said as part of NATO's Military Partnership Engagement Policy, the OCC E&F evaluation program serves as a mutually beneficial and important strategic tool in support of defense modernization efforts of NATO partner nations, and it contributes to NATO's continuous capacity building initiatives.
