JFC Naples NCOs hold professional development day with Italian counterparts


A group of senior noncommissioned officers from Allied Joint Force Command Naples conducted a professional development day with troops of the Italian National Support Element,  Dec. 11,  2017.

NAPLES, Italy – A group of senior noncommissioned officers from Allied Joint Force Command Naples conducted a professional development day with troops of the Italian National Support Element, Dec. 11, 2017.

The five-person JFC Naples team was comprised of servicemembers from multiple divisions within the JFC Naples headquarters. The NCOs trained their Italian counterparts on NATO and JFC Naples history as well as cultural diversity.

German Army Command Sergeant Major Juergen Stark, the senior enlisted advisor at JFC Naples, said the Italian troops were curious and interactive as it was their first contact with multinational servicemembers for many of them.

The professional development day was comprised of presentations and discussions that aimed to spread the idea of the unified multi-national perspectives of NATO.

According to the instructors, the audience expressed a desire to enrich their knowledge and be more involved in international activities. They also showed interest to share experiences and abilities.
