NAPLES, Italy – NATO Defense College Rome visited the headquarters of Allied Joint Force Command Naples with a delegation of students from its NATO Regional Cooperation Course (NRCC), March 7.

The delegation was led by the NDC division head of academic planning and policy, German Army Brigadier General Heinz Josef Feldmann.

Italian Army Lieutenant General Leonardo di Marco, JFC Naples chief of staff, addressed the delegation and spoke about the command's lines of operations.

During the briefings, the group of students received an introduction to the organization and an overview of the various tasks and missions of JFC Naples. They also received an update briefing on the current challenges posed by the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) Region and a presentation about NATO military partnerships.

The NATO Regional Cooperation Course (NRCC) is the Alliance’s major educational outreach to Mediterranean Dialogue (MD) and Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI) countries and partners from the broader region of the Middle East.

The aim of the course is to link issues of concern both to MD and ICI nations and to NATO. Course organizers said an additional effort of the course is to develop mutual understanding and networking among participants.
