KFOR Commander welcomes the NATO Assistant Secretary General for Operations


PRISTINA, Kosovo - Kosovo Force (KFOR) Commander, Italian Army Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, received the NATO Assistant Secretary General for Operations, Mr. Patrick Turner, at Camp "Film City” NATO KFOR Headquarters, January 29, 2016.

During his visit, the Assistant Secretary General stressed once again the commitment of the Alliance to ensure a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all citizens and communities in Kosovo under a United Nations mandate.
Mr. Turner took the opportunity to meet with a range of high level Kosovar officials, as well as with representatives of the international community, including the Head of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), Mr. Gabriele Meucci, and the Deputy Head of United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), Mr. Christopher Coleman. The Assistant Secretary General also met with the Directors of both NATO Liaison Teams.

Approximately 5,000 troops are provided to KFOR by 31 countries including NATO members and partners.
