NAPLES, Italy – Allied Joint Force Command Naples welcomed six senior Royal Jordanian armed forces officers, Jan. 14, 2016.

The Jordanian delegation visited Naples to receive a joint force command perspective on NATO capabilities after receiving strategic perspectives from Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe in Mons, Belgium, and NATO headquarters in Brussels in the preceding days.

"We are extremely honoured to receive members of one of NATO’s partner nations,” said JFC Naples Chief of Staff, Italian Army Lieutenant General Leonardo di Marco. "Our headquarters genuinely appreciates the support from Jordan at all levels of engagement and looks forward to continued cooperation to achieve our mutual security goals.”

Key JFC Naples staff members shared information regarding the command’s mission and how it supports partner nations. The Jordanian delegation also took part in discussions with JFC Naples staff members covering aspects of cooperative security and assurance measures.

Cooperative security is identified as one of NATO’s essential core tasks and recommends that the promotion of Euro-Atlantic security is best assured through a wide network of partner relationships with countries and organisations around the globe.

The mission of JFC Naples is to prepare for, plan and conduct military operations in order to preserve the peace, security and territorial integrity of Alliance member states and freedom of the seas and economic lifelines throughout the Supreme Allied Commander of Europe’s Area of Responsibility and beyond.
