JFC Naples hosts German Armed Forces Staff and Command College


 
NAPLES, Italy - Members of the German National General Staff and a Course of the Federal Armed Forces Command and Staff College visited Allied Joint Force Command Naples, Feb 17, 2016.

The visit of JFC Naples has been part of an educational tour to authorities of NATO, European Union and the most important European capitals.

JFC Naple's Chief of Staff, Italian Army Lieutenant General Leonardo di Marco, addressed the delegation and spoke about the command's lines of operations and current and future challenges. During the briefings the group received an insightful introduction in the organization, tasks and missions of JFC Naples.

The National General Staff and Naval Staff Course is the highest level of education and training in the German Federal Armed Forces. The current 2 ½ years duration course started in spring 2014 and focuses on military education across the spectrum of tactical, operational and strategic levels.

During this visit, the participants led by the Deputy Commander of the German Federal Armed Forces Command and Staff College, German Navy Rear Admiral Karsten Schneider, received a firsthand insight into the JFC Naples command structure and an overview about the German community’s life in Naples and the Campania region.
