JFC Naples hosts expert staff meeting with Jordan

NAPLES, Italy— An Expert Staff Meeting with Jordan took place at Allied Joint Force Command Naples, Nov. 10.

French Army Col. Vincent Alexandre, JFC Naples Partnership Branch Head, received the delegation from the Jordanian Armed Forces, which was led by its Chief of Individual Training.  The meeting involved partnership discussions and the planning of practical military cooperation for the period 2017-18, including Mobile Training Teams and wider training and education provision for Jordanian Armed Forces in this period.

Jordan is scheduled to host Regional Exercise 2017, and the meeting was also used to define the planning workshops required to assist the Jordanian Armed Forces along the way to  the execution phase of the exercise next September.

Jordan is a very active NATO partner country, and has been a member of the Mediterranean Dialogue Framework since its creation in 1994. It currently participates in a number of NATO initiatives including the NATO Response Force (NRF), the Defence Capacity Building Initiative, and it is also a participant in the new Individually Tailored Roadmap trial.
