CASABLANCA, Morocco -- A mobile training team from Allied Joint Force Command Naples, J4 Logistics Division, conducted an operational level planning course at the Ecole Royale du Materiel a Ben Slimane in Morocco, Dec. 12-16, 2016.
The team of four instructors from JFC Naples trained and mentored 30 officers of the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces and Tanzanian People's Defense Force on the operational logistics planning process.
The training focused on the roles of a logistics planner at the operational level, and it allowed them to apply the Comprehensive Operation Planning Directive (COPD) principles in practical workshops. Additionally, the history and structure of NATO, the role of the JFC and Joint Logistics Support Group, and the principles of operational deployments were also covered.
According to event organizers, the training team enjoyed productive engagement with their hosts, who embraced the valuable learning opportunity. Participants also noted the positive feedback after certificates were presented to the students by Brig. Gen. Darko Pintaric, JFC Naples Assistant Chief of Staff-Logistics.
Throughout the past year and into the current one, JFC Naples is conducting a wide range of MTT engagements with regional partners, including more logistics operational planning events in the coming months. Training team members highlighted the value for money in training partner countries with the mobile teams, and they said they’re integral part of JFC Naples’ efforts within the Mediterranean Dialogue Framework.
