CHISINAU, Moldova – Organized by Allied Joint Force Command Naples, an Exercise Planning Procedure Mobile Training Team (EPP MTT) was conducted in Moldova, Feb. 22-25, 2016.
The aim of this EPP MTT was to teach the Exercise Planning Process to Moldovan officers and to make sure they would understand the NATO standards for the preparation of a training venue.
Conducted by two officers coming from JFC Naples – J7 Training and Exercise Branch, the workshop involved 18 participants from Moldovan military forces.
The main focus of this training was to explain the logical sequence of the different parts composing the NATO Exercise Planning Process, covering topics of discussion such as Concept and Specification Development, Planning and Product Development, Operational Conduct, and Analysis and Reporting.
Open discussions were conducted throughout the whole session. A series of questions have been set-up and disseminated in three sub-groups so that the students could face an active period during the course.
"All the objectives established have been reached,” said French Army Emmanuel Colonel Violante-Charbuy. All the participants acquired a clear understanding and the ability to describe the process with the interactions between the different steps.
Moldovan Army Lieutenant Colonel Sorin Bacalu expressed the will for further cooperation and underlined his deep satisfaction regarding the quality of this course. He also mentioned the expectation from Moldovan military forces to be evaluated and certified by NATO, in order to be able to play a role in a NATO operation in a near future.
