NAPLES, Italy – The 6th Balkan Liaison Work Group (BLWG) meeting was conducted at Allied Joint Force Command Naples, June 8, 2016.
The BLWG is a meeting devised and organized by JFCNP to share ideas, exchange information, discuss common concerns and find synergies between the NATO offices in Belgrade, Sarajevo, Skopje and KFOR NATO Liaison Advisory Team (NLAT) in Pristina.
The first five BLWGs were conducted in Belgrade, Sarajevo, Skopje and JFC NP HQ in rotation between 2014 and 2016. The sixth meeting was conducted with seven participants from KFOR NLAT and three Balkan Offices.
German Army Brig. Gen.Reinhard Kloss, Assistant Chief of Staff (ACOS) J9, U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Giselle Wilz, Commander of NATO headquarters in Sarajevo, Italian Army Brig. Gen. Marinelli, Chief of Military Liaison Office Belgrade, Bulgarian Navy Captain Rumen Radev, Chief of NATO Liaison Office Skopje and Mr.King, Policy and Plans Advisor in Kosovo Force NLAT attended the 6th BLWG meeting.
The meeting was very successful and characterized by open and fruitful discussions and at the end; it was decided to conduct the 7th BLWG in Sarajevo in October, 2016.
