GERMAN AMBASSADOR VISITS NATO MLO BELGRADE

The new Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Serbia H.E. Thomas Schieb visited NATO Military Liaison Office Belgrade, where he met with MLO staff and discussed Serbia NATO partnership with Brigadier General Marinelli, Chief of NATO MLO.

NATO SUPPORTS SERBIAN STANDARDIZATION CAPACITIES

Twenty Serbian experts worked along side their colleagues from the NATO Standardization Office (NSO) during the three-day course in Belgrade on NATO standardization for Serbia. This was an extraordinary opportunity to train Serbian experts in this field.

SYNERGY INTO INTEROPERABILITY REGEX 18

REGEX 18 is joint training of military, civilian and police structures for participation in UN-led multinational peacekeeping operations. Training is carried out in line with NATO standards, focused on improving officers' capabilities to participate in these operations, thus enhancing interoperability.

NATO SECRETARY GENERAL VISITS SERBIA

Oct 8, 2018, Belgrade

NATO SG Jens Stoltenberg inaugurated the civil emergency exercise “SRBIJA 2018” together with the Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. ‎This is the biggest exercise organised by NATO's EADRCC, and the first to be hosted by Serbia. It included around 2,000 personnel from almost 40 countries.

CHAIRMAN OF THE NATO MILITARY COMMITTEE IN BELGRADE

Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach visited Belgrade for the first time since assuming the position of Chairman of the NATO Military Committee. Meetings were organized on the margins of the visit of the NATO delegation, headed by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, to the "SRBIJA 2018” exercise.

SERBIA INSTIGATES STABILITY IN THE BALKANS

"Serbia is a place that instigates stability in the Balkans” said Brigadier General Cesare Marinelli at the conference "Cooperation of the Serbian Armed Forces with the Armed Forces of the NATO Member States" organized by the Atlantic Council of Serbia with the support of the US Embassy in Belgrade.

TRUST AND UNDERSTANDING THROUGH REGEX 18

Belgrade hosts 49 participants from 16 countries, whom NATO brought together to attend the Workshop VI with the aim of building trust and understanding for better cooperation in the region, by promoting increased interoperability. These are the main goals of the exercise REGEX 18.

SERBIA TO HOST BY FAR THE LARGEST NATO CIVILIAN EMERGENCY EXERCISE

For the first time in its history, Serbia will host the major civilian exercise called "SRBIJA 2018” organized by NATO’s Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre and the Serbian Ministry of Interior, enabling participants to train together, thus better helping each other in times of need.

The Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, General Petr Pavel visited Serbia and met with Minister of Defence, Mr. Aleksandar Vulin and Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, General Ljubisa Dikovic and other high level political and defence officials.
