Working together on the Operational Capabilities Concept and Counterinsurgency

The NATO Operational Capabilities Concept is designed to establish new means and mechanisms to reinforce the Partnership for Peace nations’ operational capabilities through enhanced and closer military cooperation. Through this approach, NATO seeks to improve the interoperability of Partner forces and thereby the ability of Allied and Partner forces to operate together in future operations.
 
Mobile Training Team of seven NATO officers from Joint Force Command Naples held a specially designed training course for Serbian Army Officers in Serbian Armed Forces Barracks in Pancevo, where they tackled the topic of how to face and overcome challenges of ever-changing and evolving threats of terrorism in the modern technical environment we all live.

Deputy Commander of Allied Joint Force Command Naples, Lieutenant General Christian Juneau met with a number of Serbian officials in Belgrade over the last two days, confirming that NATO-Serbia partnership is growing stronger. At the meetings in Belgrade, Juneau reiterated the position of the Alliance that it respects Serbia’s decision to remain militarily neutral, as well as that the level of cooperation is very high and mutually beneficial.
