Colonel Natale GATTI
Colonel Natale GATTI was born in Taranto on the 12th of December 1973.
He began his military career in Modena, where he attended the 174th Course at the Military Academy. Two years later, he moved to Turin so as to attend the School of Military Science Applied, where he graduated in “Political Science”.
In the following years, he attended the Staff College Course and the Joint Advanced Staff Course.
He served as Battery second-in-command, Battery Commander and Group commander in the Air Defence Artillery Branch.
During his career, he held operational, logistics and joint tasks, developing a profound knowledge of International Organisations.
He served as Staff Officer at the Logistics Command, the Army General Staff and the Secretary General of Defence.
Currently, he is the 78th Commander of the 17th Air Defence Artillery Regiment “Sforzesca”.
Furthermore, he attended:
- International Relations and Diplomatic Affairs Major;
- “Complex Systems” Second Cycle Degree Course;
- Peace Support Operations Course;
- Civil Military Cooperation Course.
He speaks English and Chinese.
He was awarded:
The NATO “SFOR” Medal;
The “Domino” and “Strade sicure” Commendation Cross;
The Bronze Medal for long command;
The Golden Cross for long service.
He is married with a child.
