U.S. Army General Christopher Donahue visited Camp Bondsteel

PRISTINA - U.S. Army General Christopher Donahue, Commanding General of U.S. Army Europe and Africa, visited soldiers and leaders of Regional Command East at Camp Bondsteel and Camp Nothing Hill.

General Donahue thanked the soldiers for their dedication to the KFOR mission and learned more about day-to-day operations. General Donahue also met with the Commander of KFOR, Major General Enrico Barduani and discussed the current security situation and peacekeeping mission in Kosovo.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
