U.S. and German KFOR Troops Patrol Border to Ensure Stability in Kosovo

PRISTINA - U.S. and German soldiers assigned to Regional Command East of the NATO-led KFOR mission conducted dismounted patrols along the Administrative Border Line in Kosovo to ensure freedom of movement and a safe and secure environment.

KFOR soldiers routinely conduct daily patrols throughout multiple municipalities of Kosovo to maintain stability in the region. Whether patrolling independently or by teaming up with our security response partners, KFOR remains committed to our mission.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
