During the visit, the two Generals exchanged views on the current security situation in Kosovo and the wider region. General Süssli expressed his appreciation for KFOR’s continued efforts in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all communities.

Major General Barduani also commended Switzerland’s longstanding contribution to KFOR and regional stability, expressing his gratitude to General Süssli for the professionalism and commitment consistently demonstrated by the Swiss contingent.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
