RC West Supports Kosovo Communities Through Donations and Education

PRISTINA - CIMIC unit of the Regional Command West of the NATO-led KFOR mission, conducted several activities in the last months.

CIMIC activities aim to improve the conditions of Kosovo citizens giving support to the local institutions. RC-W donation in details: School supplies in Pejë/Peć, Shushicë/Sušica and Klinë/Klina; medical equipment to a medical center in the municipality of Pejë/Peć, and equipment for fire brigade in Shtërpcë/Štrpce.

Furthermore, some practical and theoretical lessons about nutrition were conducted in schools and universities of Gjakovë/Đakovica and Prizren.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
