Latvian Troops Conduct Joint Patrols with Kosovo Police in Eastern Kosovo

PRISTINA - Latvian soldiers assigned to Regional Command East (RC-E) of the NATO-led KFOR mission recently carried out joint patrols alongside the Kosovo Police within the RC-E area of responsibility.

These coordinated patrols underscore the strong cooperation between KFOR and local security institutions, reinforcing efforts to maintain stability and enhance operational effectiveness across the region.

Such activities reflect KFOR’s continued commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all communities living in Kosovo.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
