KFOR Welcomes New Troop Contributors: Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands

PRISTINA - A flag inauguration ceremony was held at KFOR Headquarters, in Camp Film City, Pristina, to welcome Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands as new troop contributing countries to the NATO-led KFOR mission.

Major General Enrico Barduani, KFOR’s Commander, presided over the ceremony. He expressed his appreciation for the arrival of new personnel and underscored that KFOR’s further growth attests to our collective, steadfast commitment to lasting security across Kosovo and regional stability, including through support to the EU-facilitated dialogue for the normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina.

The Ambassadors of Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands to Kosovo participated in the ceremony.

KFOR continues to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo, in accordance with its long-standing UN mandate – based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999; at all times and impartially; and in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX), in their respective roles as security responders.
