KFOR Supports Kosovo Police in Enhancing Victim Support Facilities

PRISTINA -KFOR Deputy Commander, Brigadier General Cahit IRICAN, the Turkish Liaison Monitoring Teams, the Civil-Military Cooperation team and Regional Command East leadership of the NATO-led KFOR mission, joined together for a donation ceremony in Gjilan/Gnjilane, Kosovo.

The ceremony commemorated donations made by KFOR to the Kosovo Police. These donations provide needed improvements to family rooms that support victims of domestic violence. This investment aims to create a safer and more comfortable environment for the recovery of victims. These efforts are part of KFOR's daily mission to guarantee a safe and secure environment for all communities living in Kosovo.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
