KFOR Soldiers Complete Combat Lifesaver Training to Enhance Emergency Response

PRISTINA - U.S. Liaison Monitoring Team soldiers assigned to Regional Command East of the NATO-led KFOR mission, completed a weeklong combat lifesavers course on Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo.

The culminating exercise finds soldiers reacting to contact while performing lifesaving measures on a simulated casualty. The lanes are designed to simulate realistic scenarios challenging the students to draw from different portions of the course to execute proper casualty care.

These skills are designed for combat but can be used in day-to-day emergency response situations that LMTs might encounter in communities throughout Kosovo.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and EULEX (the European Union Mission on Rule of Law) in their respective roles as security responders.
