KFOR Liaison Teams Deliver First Aid Training

PRISTINA - Italian Liaison Monitoring Teams (LMT) of the NATO-led KFOR mission operating in Regional Command West conducted Basic Life Support Defibrillation (BLSD) courses in the municipalities of Istog/Istok and Klinë/Klina.

In Istog/Istok, the course was delivered to young athletes, while in Klinë/Klina, it was organized in coordination with the Red Cross and targeted teachers from local schools. These courses provided participants with valuable knowledge of proper first aid procedures, which can be essential in everyday situations.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate — based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 — to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and to ensure freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
