KFOR Honours Civilian Staff for 25 Years of Dedicated Service

PRISTINA - In a solemn ceremony, the Commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Major General Enrico Barduani, personally congratulated the members of the civilian staff who achieved 25 years of dedicated service in KFOR.

General Barduani expressed, on behalf of himself and the entire Kosovo Force, his sincere gratitude to those who, serving in different support functions – such as finance, logistics, communication and technology, human resources and general administration – have contributed to KFOR's successful commitment to the stability and security of all people living in Kosovo.

Synergy between the civilian and military components remains fundamental to the fulfillment of KFOR's mission for regional peace and stability.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders
