KFOR Deputy Commander Meets Austrian Army Official

PRISTINA - The Deputy Commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Brigadier General Cahit İrİcan, met with the Director of the Situational Awareness Division of the Austrian Army General Staff, Brigadier General Manfred Taschler, at KFOR Headquarters in Camp Film City, Pristina.

They discussed various topics, including lasting security across Kosovo, the regional stability situation, and KFOR’s efforts in support of the EU-facilitated dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade.

Brigadier General İrİcan also congratulated General Taschler for Austria’s long-standing contributions to KFOR and regional stability.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate—based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999—to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and ensure freedom of movement at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
