KFOR Commander Hosts UK Secretary of State

PRISTINA - The Commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Major General Enrico Barduani, hosted the visit of the Secretary of State for the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office of the United Kingdom, His Excellency David Lammy, at KFOR Headquarters in Camp Film City, Pristina.

During the visit, Major General Barduani shared his views on the current security situation across the region and highlighted KFOR’s efforts to ensure a safe and secure environment for all people living in Kosovo, as well as its support for the EU-facilitated dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade.

Major General Barduani also congratulated Secretary Lammy for the UK’s long-standing contributions to KFOR and regional stability.

Following this, His Excellency Lammy met with a delegation of the British Contingent at Camp Film City, where he expressed his appreciation for their ongoing commitment to Operation Joint Enterprise.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate—based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999—to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and ensure freedom of movement at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
