KFOR Commander attended International Forum on Women, Peace and Security in Pristina

PRISTINA -The Commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Major General Enrico Barduani, attended the third edition of the International Forum on Women, Peace and Security, upon invitation of Ms. Vjosa Osmani, which was held today in Pristina.

Centred on the theme “The Security Code for Our Generation”, this edition of the Forum addresses the impact of conflicts on women and children, highlighting the disproportionate risks they face in conflict-affected areas.

Major General Barduani’s presence at the event underscores KFOR’s continued commitment to the protection of vulnerable populations.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
