KFOR and Bulgaria Celebrate Armed Forces Day

PRISTINA - The Commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Major General Enrico Barduani and The Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Her Excellency Iliana IOTOVA, presided over the ceremony marking the Day of Valour and the Bulgarian Armed Forces Day, at Camp “Film City” in Pristina.

General Barduani addressed the Bulgarian contingent thanking them for their dedication and their high professionalism demonstrated in their daily efforts to ensure a safe and secure environment for all people living in Kosovo.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
