Italian soldiers of Rc West conducted an Crowd and Riot Control exercise

PRISTINA - Italian soldiers from the Kinetic Battalion of the Regional Command West of the NATO-led KFOR mission conducted an intense Crowd and Riot Control (CRC) exercise, trained by their Hungarian colleagues from the KFOR Tactical Reserve Battalion.

This type of training places a particular focus on managing the fear of fire (Firephobia) and on the acquisition of techniques to minimize the damage caused by flames.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
