Italian Ambassador to Kosovo Visits KFOR HQ

PRISTINA - The Commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Major General Enrico Barduani, hosted the visit of the Ambassador of Italy to Kosovo, His Excellency Maurizio Antonini, at KFOR Headquarters, in Camp Film City in Pristina.

They discussed views about the security situation across Kosovo and regional stability, and KFOR’s efforts in support to the EU-facilitated dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade, which the COM KFOR urged to carry on in a renewed, resolute spirit.

General Barduani also shared with the Ambassador Antonini his pride for ITA’s long-standing contributions to KFOR. Since 1999, Italy’s largest contingent in KFOR has been a key symbol of Italy's commitment to international security and stability in Kosovo.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate — based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 — to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
