Inauguration ceremony of the renovated Multinational Military Police Station

PRISTINA - The Commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Major General Enrico Barduani, presided over the inauguration ceremony of the renovated Multinational Military Police Station at KFOR’s Headquarters, in Camp Film City, Pristina.

During the event, KFOR Provost Marshal, Lieutenant Colonel Christina Faustik, symbolically handed over the key of the facility to MNMP Company Commander, Captain Martin Frank.

The Multinational Military Police (MNMP) is composed of soldiers from Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, Poland, Czech-Republic and Latvia and is responsible for maintaining order and security within KFOR as well as providing support in military police matters.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
