Hungarian and Romanian Troops Achieve Full Mission Capability in Intense Crowd Control Exercise

PRISTINA - Hungarian and Romanian multinational KFOR Tactical Reserve Battalion successfully passed the compulsory exam and reached Full Mission Capability.

The exercise occurred in teamwork with the Multinational Specialized Unit’s Czech and Italian soldiers, Tactical Psyops Team, and the Joint Logistics Support Group’s Movement Support Detachment’s Swiss soldiers to fulfill their task of ensuring freedom of movement and guaranteeing a safe and secure environment across Kosovo. It was a complex Crowd and Riot Control exercise, which also included "Fire Phobia" training.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate—based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999—to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and to ensure freedom of movement at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
