During the visit, Major General Barduani shared his views on the current security situation in the region and emphasized KFOR’s ongoing efforts to ensure a safe and secure environment for all people living in Kosovo. He also highlighted KFOR’s support for the EU-facilitated dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade.

Major General Barduani extended his appreciation to Ambassador Guérot for France’s long-standing contributions to KFOR and regional stability.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate – based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 – to contribute to a safe and secure environment and ensure freedom of movement for all communities in Kosovo. KFOR operates in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
