Deputy Commander of JFC Naples together with COMKFOR visited Camp Bondsteel

PRISTINA - On the second day of his visit to KFOR, the Deputy Commander of NATO Joint Force Command Naples, Lieutenant General Peter K. Scott, together with the KFOR Commander, Major General Enrico Barduani, visited Camp Bondsteel, where, he was welcomed by the Commander of the Regional Command East.

They discussed the current challenges and opportunities within the KFOR area of operations and the role that Regional Command East plays in ensuring security and stability across the region.

Afterward Lieutenant General Peter K. Scott visited the Commander of Kosovo Security Force (KSF) Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, in Pristina. The meeting was an opportunity to reaffirm KFOR’s steadfast commitment to its long-standing UN mandate, to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo.

The two-day visit ended in the afternoon at the KFOR headquarters in Camp Film City in Pristina where Lieutenant General Peter K. Scott congratulated on Major General Barduani for KFOR's long-standing contribution to regional stability.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 - to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and impartially. KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Mission on Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders.
